(This webpage portrays some of the finest Khukuris (Nepalese traditional knifes- also known as Gurkha knifes) and their makers, despite the webpage being commercial in nature. The pictures and stories depict the every-day real life stories of Kamis of Nepal, the people of an occupational caste, who have been socio-economically oppressed for centuries. The poor living conditions and crude working places of the makers of the finest Khukuris distributed all over the world as evident from the stories and pictures illustrate that their hard labour and high skills are not enough for their emancipation and upliftment. A holistic approach for their alround development can only be the way to go.)
